C & C Cellular Mayo U9, 10 & 11 Team Events

The C & C Cellular Mayo Athletic U9, 10 & 11 Team Events took place in Claremorris Athletic Club last weekend.  A large number of athletes from Aughagower, Ballina, Claremorris, Castlebar, Lake District, Swinford and Westport competed in the various events.  Competition was very keen with some new faces on the horizon competing with some who competed previously.  Thanks to all who officiated on the day and thanks to the officials from Claremorris Athletic Club who provided refreshments for all.  Thanks to the Civil Defence who provided cover on the day.  The Connacht U9, 10 & 11 Team Events takes place in Sligo on 7th June. The Woodie’s DIY Juvenile Indoor Track and Field Championships of Ireland took place in AIT International Arena, Athlone last weekend. Ireland’s best up and coming athletic talent battled it out for the national titles on what turned out to be two thrilling days of competition.

WESTPORT AC SUCCESS AT CONNAUGHT INDOORS

Westport Athletic Club juvenile athletes travelled to Athlone recently to compete in the Connaught Indoor Championships and came home with an abundance of medals and many places secured in the All Ireland finals. Aishling Halpin Fahy has an great day taking the silver medal in the U14 long jump together with a bronze in the shot put. Kate O'Malley took gold in the U15 girls shot put with a PB of 9.14m, Jennifer Chambers gold in the U16 girls shot put with a PB of 9.92m.  The field performance...

Sheefry 8K

Sheefry 8k 2014 will take place on Sunday the 9th of March at 12pm. This year the race is in aid of Cystic Fibrosis  and in conjunction with Westport Athletic Club and the Bearded Bar Man Charity Shave.

Connaught Indoor Championship U12-U19 March 1st and 2nd 2014

Connaught Indoor Championships are on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd March in Athlone Institute of Technology. The U12-U15 events will be held on the Saturday and U16-Seniors events will be held on the Sunday.

Please give your name and events at track on Tuesday 18th of February deadline is Thursday 20th. No late entries will be accepted.  €4 per event,

Mayo Indoor Championship 2014

The C & C Cellular Mayo Indoor Athletic Championships were held in Claremorris Athletic track on Sunday. Over five hundred boys and girls competed in over eighty different competitions. Athletes from Achill, Aughagower, Ballina, Castlebar, Claremorris, Lake District, Swinford and Westport competed in an array of athletic disciplines. Mayo Indoor Athletic championships 9th Februaary 2014

Mayo Indoor Competition will be held in Claremorris on Sunday 9th of February 2014 Start Time 10am 

Entry Fee €7 Per Athlete

Athlete's names and the events they are competing in to be given at the track Monday 27th for U9-U11 and Tuesday 28th for U12-U19.

All ages will have relays if sufficient numbers available, coaches will decide relay team members

U9/U10/U11 can choose 2 events plus relay
U12 - U19 can choose 3 events plus relay
