Westport A.C. athlete Alannah Gannon creates a new high jump record for girls U-12  when she jumped 1.38 metres, 10cms higher than her other competitors on the day. The previous national record was 1.35metres which was achieved in 1985, 1995, 2001 and 2005 by 4 other athletes. Well done Alannah.

Other medal winners over the weekend at the Juvenile All-Irelands were Anthony Chambers who won Gold in the Boys U17 800m and David Harper who won Bonze in the Boys U16 800m. Con Doherty also took a Bronze medal in the Boys U16 3000m.
